"I joined ServiceLink because I wanted to meaningfully interact with the Philadelphia community. As a freshman and having just arrive on Penn's campus, I became aware of the health needs and societal barriers many Philadelphia community members face on a day to day basis, and my understanding of the state of insurance outreach and housing needs is becoming deeper each year that I work with ServiceLink. I wanted to assist in addressing these social determinants of health by connecting community members with social benefit programs. Now as the head of the club, I want to improve on ServiceLink operations, expand community sites, and foster a volunteer community with club wide events."
